For the preparation of fish stew, you will need: live carp (best fattened carp), small pike (because the meat from the pike has a strong flavor), larger onions, sweet milled pepper, milled hot red pepper, homemade tomato juice, Vegeta and a little sugar, mix in a small cup. All the ingredients are put into the kettle and cooked on high heat on the open fire.
After 40 minutes (of delicious smells), remove the kettle from the heat. The fish stew will partially hot eaten, so everyone needs to be ready.
With fish stew are served noodles, if possible homemade and a good white wine to that. Well as for all other meals in Baranja a rule is: “..without domestic pepper there is no real fish stew!”.
