Kozjak is located in the southeastern part of Baranja and 12 kilometers from the center of the muncipality Bilje. Until 1991. was hamlet of village Lug or wasteland (remote village surrounded by outbuildings). The population lived in the “flats” of the long building with a few families in it. Economic base of Kozjak is agriculture and animal husbandry.

The settlement was first mentioned in Census in 1900. with 438 inhabitants. Today Kozjak has 60 households with 93 residents, most of the buildings are abandoned, and initiates the natural environment, development of rural tourism and ecological food production.
